Documentary NY On Set for Turner Classic Movies FR/UK/DE

If you want to get Scorsese, Spike Lee, Keitel, Burstyn, Aiello, Rappaport, and more to participate in your hour-long documentary about NY as it relates to cinema, who you gonna call?

the designists of course.

We finally got around to putting together this trailer (profanity included, because it’s more fun). Check it out.

2012, The Year Of The Fan?

The Spanish fan, that is.
The magic of Spain is contained in this one simple object…

Now our friends at IS Creative in Madrid offer their tastefully colorful version, the useful Fantone.
There is also what I call the Mantone, by Pierre David for the Museu de Arte Moderna in Brasil. (via @bloginNYC)

And then there is Karl.

PSD trick: Change view size, don’t get getting angry anymore

Know how annoying it is in PSD when you change the view size, say going from 100% to 200%, and the whole window resizes along with it, forcing you to reorganize your palettes, and getting them out of the way every time?

Well, no more: just randomly discovered cool new PSD shortcut that will resize the canvas WITHOUT changing the window size.

Instead of Cmd-+ (or -) just use Opt-Cmd-+ (or -), and voilà!

Yoyoi Kusama Exhibit: Look Now, See Forever

1-Start with pristine white
2-Release a zillion kids armed with color dots
3-Watch results
(and consider it’s all upside down, as it’s in Australia.)

The things you hear… :)

Today I was told:
“Hey Paul, it’s crazy how much you look like your sister. Must be the beard…”
FYI, my sister doesn’t have a beard! :D

On m’a dit aujourd’hui:
“Paul, c’est fou ce que tu ressembles à ta soeur. Ça doit être à cause de la barbe…”
Euh… Ma soeur n’a pas de barbe! :D
